Aloha Hawaii

I'm finally here! In Hawaii...

Its aMAzIng! I can't even put how I feel into words. Lately all I can do is smile. I wake up every morning just to walk outside into the beautiful Hawaiian wind, with the sun beating down on my face. I just bask in it.

Life is good. Im learning. But in a very laid back kind of way. I'm meeting new people, when it just sort of happens... no pressure. It just feels like summer all day/every day. You know, like that feeling of not having to worry about anything really, sitting on your bed, talking to your friends online, as the warm breeze carrying the smell of salt water, softly blows through the open window... that feeling. I feel that every day.

If there is paradise on earth... this is it.

The song for last week is the BOMB! Its According to You by Orianthi. I heard it on the radio the other day and have been rockin' out even since. Its just a great song to make us girls feel like were on top of the world. Showing those stupid boys who've knocked us down that we really are worth something!

Random Acts of Kindness

Last night my mom pointed out an article to our family from this months Woman's World called "Next Stop: Kindness". It talked about a group if three college students who, while on their way home from college, would stop along the way and help someone out who was in need. "They had $1000 and a wish."
It was a very interesting article about how they helped so many people by doing little acts of kindness. They left a large tip for a struggling waitress, they gave leftovers to a homeless man on the sidewalk, and they donated blood among other things.
Which really got me thinking... I definitely don't have $1000 to spend but there are so many things I can do to help those in need. And heaven knows I have all the time in the world right now. =) So I have decided to keep my mind focused on things I can do to help others instead of focusing on my needs and wants. And I know that if I focus on helping others more opportunities to do so will present themselves.
Lets have a Great Holiday Season and spread the joy around by lending a helping hand.

Week 2

Last fall my best friend, Brittany, and I moved out of the house for the first time. It was a BLAST! We had our own little studio apartment and all the freedom in the world. Well ever since we were 16 we wanted to go clubbing so bad, but due to our parents curfew and other restrictions we were never able to go until we were on our own. Sad to say it wasn't quite as fun as we expected, but we still went every single weekend. It was our way of letting go of all the stress of being an 'adult' and in a way rebelling just a little.
Well that's where my next 'Song of the Week' comes in. I first heard this song in one of the clubs and have been hooked on it ever since. =) The song this week is What's Your Name by Usher ft. Will.I.Am, Hope you enjoy.
